凍墨名品を中心に 井上有一展
どれほど優れた芸術的試みも繰り返すことにより惰性を生み、自己模倣となることを嫌い、
有一は次々と新しい取り組みを自身に課しました。
なかでも1960年から数年に亘り生み出された凍墨技法は、マチエールを意識させるもので、
結果として絵画的で立体感ある豊かな造形を感じさせるものとして、
有一生涯の流転する仕事の中で最も魅力ある美術作品群と申せましょう。
今年は希少なこの時期の作品を中心に展観します。

No matter how excellent the art attempt is, it develops inertia during repetition and turns out to be self-imitation.
But Yuichi disliked imitation so that he'd kept trying new attempt.
Among all those efforts, the frozen ink technique, which was created for several years since 1960,
shall be considered as the most attractive art works of his whole life.
The frozen ink technique emphasized the quality of surface of the words, which made the work solid and various modeling derived from it.
This year’s exhibition will take these rare works as the main items.
